Our Products for Sale Our animals are born and raised here on the farm. They are antibiotic free, growth hormone free, and animal by-products free. We do not confine our animals in feedlot areas to make them gain more weight faster. They are allowed to roam pastures and eat grass as they are designed to do.
Beef Our herd of Angus cattle are grass finished and make up the basis of our beef program. Finishing on grass gives the meat a more natural flavor and is much healthier than grain fed beef. The Angus breed is reknowned for its ability to finish on grass. We have also recently incorporated New Zealand Angus genetics into our herd. The New Zealand Angus has been bred to finish on grass for generations and their bloodlines will help in the finishing and marbling of our beef. Lamb We currently have a small flock of Katahdin Hair Sheep. Lanolin is known to have an adverse effect on the flavor of lamb meat normally seen with wool sheep. Since the Katahdin has hair instead of wool, there is less lanolin in their tissues. We also chose the Katahdin breed for its good mothering ability, hardiness, parasite resistance, and flavor when grass finished. We have a limited number of lambs available so we will sell them on a first come first serve basis. Lamb for Sale: We are currently only offering whole freezer lambs (approx 35-40 lbs meat) at $200 a lamb plus processing (around $50 depending on size). The lamb will be cut to your specs and individually wrapped. Lamb will be made available for pick up at the farm. Although some delivery is available when arranged ahead of time. Pick up in mid Nov, 2011.

How much meat can I put in a freezer? Since freezers vary in size, the best answer to this question is you can put 35 lbs of meat in 1 cubic ft of freezer space. You multiply the freezer space you have by 35 and that will tell you the pounds of meat you have freezer space for.
